As I am sitting here writing this, I am finally able to get the reality of this engagement! I was able to pick up my sized ring this past Saturday night. After two weeks of waiting I felt like a little kid waiting for Santa to come. Sean and I got engaged a couple weeks ago. It was a huge surprise to me, and one that I will remember forever.
He proposed to me at a special spot off of the Kancamangus highway, it had just started snowing and we were just looking at the beauty of the river. He told me he had written me a letter for my birthday (which was the next day), at the end of the letter it said to close my eyes and make a wish. When I opened my eyes I was told to close my eyes again and he pulled out the ring! It was so beautiful, surreal and so romantic that I felt like I was in a movie and dreaming. I was a stuttering mess afterwards. It was one of the most incredible moments of my life. It makes me look forward to our life together for many many years to come. He truly amazes me everyday.
